Mom, you're a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I belong.
You're patient when I'm foolish;
You give guidance when I ask;
It seems you can do most anything;
You're the master of every task.
You're a dependable source of comfort;
You're my cushion when I fall.
You help in times of trouble;
You support me whenever I call.
I love you more than I can express;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!
_______________________________________
You let me know you love me
In so many different ways.
You make me feel important
With encouragement and praise.
You're always there when I need you
To comfort and to care.
I know I'm in your thoughts;
Your love follows me everywhere.
Thank you for all you've done
And given so generously.
I love you, my wonderful mother;
You're a heaven-sent blessing to me.

I Learned From You
I learned about love from you,
Watching your caring ways.
I learned about joy from you
In fun-filled yesterdays.
From you I learned forgiving
Of faults both big and small.
I learned what I know about living
From you, as you gave life your all.
The example you set is still with me
I'd never want any other.
I'm thankful for all that you taught me,
And I'm blessed to call you "Mother."

Time to Play
I hope my children look back on today,
And see a mother who had time to play.
There will be years for cleaning and cooking,
for children grow up while we are not looking

A Mother's Love
A Mother's love must always be strong,
her work is hard, her day is long.
But all in all, she is truly blessed,
for there is nothing so warm as a crowded nest

Morality
When speaking of morality,
This question comes in view:
How do mothers know about the things
They tell their daughters not to do?

I'd Rather
(Meredith Gray)
I'd rather be a mother
Than anyone on earth -
Bringing up a child or two
Of unpretentious birth.
I'd rather tuck a little child
All safe and sound in bed -
Than twine a chain of diamonds
About my foolish head.
I'd rather wash a smudgy face
With round, bright baby eyes -
Than paint the pageantry of fame,
or walk among the wise.

Excuse This House
Some houses try to hide the fact
That children shelter there.
Ours boasts of it quite openly,
The signs are every where.
For smears are on the windows,
Little smudges on the doors;
I should apologize I guess
For toys strewn on the floor.
But I sat down with the children
And we played and laughed and read,
And if the doorbell doesn't shine,
Their eyes will shine instead.
For when at times I'm forced to
Choose the one job or the other,
I want to be a housewife...
But first I'll be a mother.

MOTHER...
Mother You filled my days with rainbow lights,
fairytales and sweet dream nights,
A kiss to wipe away my tears,
Gingerbread to ease my fears.
You gave the gift of life to me,
And then in love, you set me free.
I thank you for your tender care,
for deep warm and being there.
I hope that when you think of me,
A part of you, you'll always see.

A MOTHER'S LOVE
A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.
When you're a child she walks before you,
To set an example.
When you're a teenager she walks behind you
To be there should you need her.
When you're an adult she walks beside you
So that as two friends you can enjoy life together..

I WISH I COULD TELL YOU, MOM
I wish I could tell you, Mom
how much you mean to me....
But there are no words to say
how much I admire you...
how much I appreciate you...
how much I thank you
for everything you've done.

THANK YOU MOM
I know how often I took you for granted
when I was growing up.
I always assumed you'd be there
when I needed you...
and you always were.
But I never really thought about what that meant
till I got older and began to realize
how often your time and energy were devoted to me.
so now, for all the times I didn't say it before,
thank you, Mom...I love you so very much!

I SAID A MOTHER'S PRAYER FOR YOU
I said a Mother's Day prayer for you
to thank the Lord above
for blessing me with a lifetime
of your tenderhearted love.
I thanked God for the caring
you've shown me through the years,
for the closeness we've enjoyed
in time of laughter and of tears.
And so, I thank you from the heart
for all you've done for me
and I bless the Lord for giving me
the best mother there could be!

Motherhood: All love begins and ends there.
---
Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children.
---
A mother's love perceives no impossibilities.
---
Nothing else will ever make you as happy or sad, as proud or as tired, as motherhood.
---
Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing.
---
Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs…since the payment is pure love.
---
The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
---
A mother understands what a child does not say.
---
God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.
---
The two most important things a parent can give a child is roots and wings.
---
If your baby is "beautiful and perfect, never cries or fusses, sleeps on schedule and burps on demand, an angel all the time…" you're the grandma.
---
A grandma is a mother who has a second chance.
---
A Mother is she who can take the place of all others, but who's place no one else can take.
---
There's no one like a Mom..
to care so completely,
teach so gently
& to love so deeply.
---
Mom...whenever I have needed you most,
you have been there.
I love you for all you are, and for all
you have helped me to become.
---
A mother's apron strings are good for many different things for little ones and teenagers too. Apron strings have a job to do. Toddlers safe by Mother's side, in her apron folds can hide. When they trip and start to slip, these strings can hold them in their grip. As children grow strings do too, lengthening to expand the view; leaving them free to play and grow, to reach out, to learn and know. Teens often resist apron strings that are meant to keep them close to family and home and help them not to drift and roam. When comes the day the strings must break and we each our way must make, Mother's apron strings are ne'er forgot; they pull us home quite a lot.
---
A Mother's love is a cherished thing;
a sunny day, a flower in the spring.
---
A mother's love is like a rose;
it grows,
and grows,
and grows.
---
There is no love, like a mother's love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.
---
A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most,
a mother's love will shine.
---
God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they've done.
---
When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on...
through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.
---
Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.
---
I have truly been blessed
with gifts like no other,
A precious baby (boy or girl)
and the title of "Mother"
---
A Mother's heart overflows with love and endless giving,
a shelter of tender comfort amidst the storms of living.
A Mother's arms welcome, comfort, and reassure,
a place of warmth and kindness, protected and secure.
A Mother's prayers are letters, written to God above,
filled with faith and hope, sealed with her precious love.
All these gifts dear Mother, are the blessing you impart,
you are my guardian angel, the treasure of my heart.
---
Until I became a Mother, I did not understand, The profound sense of love In a Mother's heart and hands,
As I whisper, "Mommy loves you", I rock my precious child to sleep. A small perfection in my arms, and I hear sweet breaths, slow and deep.
I now see me as a baby; you're rocking me to sleep. You whisper, "Mommy loves you, my heart is yours to keep.
At last I recognize your love, As a Mother I now see. As I hold and love my child, you feel that love for me.
I will always be your baby, despite the years that pass. You have given me my live, and a Mother's heart to last.
The greatest I can offer, more that words could ever say. Is to give my child the love, you gave me every day.
---
New Mother's Prayer
Dear God, could you please hear my plea
and take time out to answer me?
My prayer today, is for my son.
Before I know it, he'll be ONE!!
I'm worried that I'll miss some things
in all the Joy new babies bring.
So could you stop time, for a while?
Then I can cherish EVERY smile,
and EVERY cuddle, EVERY sigh.
To miss just one-would make me cry!
Of course, I want to see him grow.
And teach him all the things I know.
But right now, Lord - I need him small
for any day now he will crawl.
And then he'll walk, and then he'll run
and where will be my tiny son?
So please God, could you be so kind
and freeze this moment in my mind?
So when years go by and he is grown-
with little babies of his own
I'll still remember what it meant
to hold so close, this child you sent.
Thank you God, for this precious boy.
---
Who takes the child by the hand takes the mother by the heart.
---
All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.
---
A mother becomes a true grandmother the day she stops noticing the terrible things her children do because she is so enchanted with the wonderful things her grandchildren do.
---
The beauty of a mother's love
is radiant and clear,
a treasure that grows lovelier
with every passing year.
The wisdom of a mother's love
is like a guiding light
that gently shows us how to see
what's true and kind and right.
The comfort of a mother's love
is safe and warm and strong-
it gives us genuine support
that lasts a whole life long.
The mystery of a mother's love
is wonderful and deep-
a freely given, priceless gift
our hearts will always keep.
The beauty of a mother's love
is that it's ours to share,
and that it keeps us close in heart,
no matter when or where.
---
Making the decision to have a child-it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.
---
Her children rise up and bless her.
Proverbs 31:28
---
God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.
---
To the world you might just be one person,
but to one person you might just be the world.

If Mothers were flowers, I'd pick you!

A Mothers love blooms all year 'round
---
Mothers plant the seeds of love that help us bloom forever

Mother-to-be
Finally we'll meet...
I love you, little baby.
You're such a part of me.
Can't wait to hold you in my arms,
And hug you tenderly.
No matter what you look like,
You're beautiful my love,
Each time I feel you moving,
My heart is filled with joy,
To think that very soon I'll hold
My little girl or boy,
I'm counting every moment,
Til you're mine at last, my sweet
It won't be long until your birth,
Then finally we'll meet.

Mother-in-Law Poem
You are the mother I received
the day I wed your son.
And I just want to thank you, mom,
for the things that you have done.
You have given me a gracious man
with whom I share my life.
You are his lovely mother and
I his lucky wife.
You use to pat his little head
and now I hold his hand.
You raised in love a little boy
then gave me a man.
The only thing better than having you for my mother,
is my children having you for a grandmother
