Robin, the Simply Crepes restaurant sounds absolutely delish. If you need someone to join you, give me a call.

I'm loving reading all about you, Robin:)
I'm not as sharp as usual and I've been out of the loop for a little bit, so please forgive me if you have already answered these - but I don't remember seeing them:
Do you have your own scrap room?
Do you prefer making pages or cards or other projects?
How long have you been married?

It's probably Thanksgiving. Fall is such a great time of year and the family gathering for good food and company(as opposed to gift giving and receiving) is much more relaxing. People are more calm getting ready to hibernate for the winter sort of.

I have a scrap room sort of in my basement rec room and storage area. I have taken over almost the whole area..... I even store some things in the bathroom cabinets down there. I use the ping pong table that is not used much any more to scrap on. It is now covered in scraps and tools. I need to clean it up cause the niece and nephew are coming in a couple weeks and they stay down there. There is sort of a guest room area down there too.
Do you prefer making pages or cards or other projects?
I prefer scrapping 12x12 pages, but I also make a lot of cards too. It's a great way to use up scraps and the cards come in handy often.
How long have you been married?
I have been married to my wonderful husband Russ for 34 years last April.

Have you been watching Big Brother too? That how they have groups divided this time....by cliques.
I think I was an overlapper type person. I was a Jack of all trades. I made good grades, but was also a cheer leader for a few years. I was a geeky band person, but was on the gymnastics team. I also dabbled in the arts and new the off beat crew well. I had a lot of friends, but not a lot of dates.
I think I'm still that type of person. I have a lot of different interests and like almost everyone I meet. I think it takes all kinds to make this world and how boring if we were all the same.

Miss Robin! Great reads about you!!!
If you had to eat one thing the rest of your life... ONE thing, what would it be?
You mentioned you have "enough" if there is such thing of paper in the sale ad thread. What is your favorite maker of paper?
Dangerous question...I think it would be peanut M&M's ....I'm so addicted to them.
Don't have a favorite paper maker.....I love it all!!!!

peanut M&Ms... I knew I liked you!!! :)
If you dont have a favorite paper maker ... what attracts you to your papers... is it color (like it is for me) or is it pattern or coordination?

What attracts me is color and pattern. Since I don't have little kids and/or girly little kids, I shy away from the too cutesy stuff. I love papers with colorful masculine paisley's and diamonds and stripes.

Are you a sketch lover, lift artist, or do you feel like you're 'cheating' if the design isn't 100% yours??

I get inspiration from sketches and other's LO's. I don't feel bad if it is not my own design as long as I'm not entering some design contest or something. I'm also learning how to scrap simpler....I just wanna get stuff down and in books.

Robin, tell us what keeps you coming to Paper. Is there something you find special or different about our community that you don't find at other sites/boards?

Well, I used to pop in from time to time because I knew Nee when she lived here in Rochester, and knew she was on the design team. And then I noticed that a couple other gals I recognized like you Erin and Jen:) were here often too. But the best thing here, I feel, is the Gallery. Everyone is so talented and willing to share their work. Wendy is the perfect encouraging "momma" of the site...keeping it working well and encouraging people to post comments on each others works. And I love how everyone is so friendly and fun here. No nasty, petty stuff you sometimes see on other sites. And people still actually scrap here too.

What is your 'signature' dish?
Well, tough question. I've not been fond of cooking most of my life....my immediate family is just sooooo picky! I tire of all the complaints and special requests and just want to say this is what's for dinner...eat it or walk away. Mean...huh? My favorite thing to make for dinner is reservations.......you've all heard that one before...ha!
Now that I have my own full service organic farm at my beck and call, I'm cooking a lot more veggies. Too bad we can't eat as fast as they are coming in. I've managed to freeze some containers of blanched broccoli and spinach and need to do that to some cabbage for winter soups. I just cooked a pot full of tiny beets last night....yum. Not sure if I can finish them all myself...the boys won't eat them.
AS far as signature dishes go, I bring this casserole to a lot of late summer picnics.
Eggplant Patrice:
Large eggplant sliced thin
Several large tomatoes sliced thin
1 Large onion and 1 large green pepper chopped and mixed together with minced garlic and any herbs you want(parslely, basil, etc.)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Layer the eggplant and tomatoes in a large lasagna pan coated with a little olive oil on the bottom, and fill in the cracks with the onion/pepper mixture. Sprinkle on some cheese and add a dash of salt, pepper, sugar, and a sprinkle of flour. Repeat the layering (in lasagna style) at least one more time, ending with cheese on top.
Bake covered with tented aluminum foil at 375 for 3/4 hour, then take the foil off and continue baking another 15 minutes. Cut and serve like lasagna. MMMMMM.
