I know your given name is Christina. How did the "K" in Kris, or Krissy happen?

If you could have a day of scrapping with any one "celebrity" scrapper, who would it be and why? What would you ask her/him? What would you hope to learn from her/him?

Interesting question! When I was in grade school I was kind of a tomboy - so I played a lot of baseball *not softball* and I went by "Kris" because it was easier to shout across the field than Christina...The problem came in classes because there were four other "Chris" names in the class and two others had the last initial S so I changed over to the K to distinguish my papers from other peoples (besides K is a much prettier letter to write than C) and it stuck.
When I grew up and got more "girlie" Kris became Krissy and I still liked drawing the K better so I kept it...

Hmmm...bad habits. I chew my nails and my cuticles like a bunny on a carrot. I used to have to go get acrylics to keep them out of my mouth but upkeep got to be too much so now I just deal with stubby nails and yucky cuticles.
Pet Peeve: LIARS for sure...also people who obviously see signs for merging traffic or road construction and try to zoom through the lane that is going to close until the very last second...don't they know that THEY are the ones who cause the traffic jam in the first place? MERGE people - that's why they give us plenty of warning!!!

Good question too...I would just love to sit with just about anyone on the CK team - Leah Fung, Lyla Koncar, Ali Edwards, Valerie Salmon, Janna Wilson - and just get some insight into their creative process. How they build their layouts, tell their stories, different ways to use products than I have seen before...then integrate them into my own style.

Ahhhh my first car was a 1978 Malibu classic maroon with a white vinyl top and a ROARING V8 engine. I loved that car SO much!
First job - Let's see - I babysat from the time I was 12 or so but my first actual "paycheck" was when I was 14 years old giving out pizza and ice cream samples at my dad's grocery store. It was SO much fun and I was super good at it! Some days I would have vendors fighting over me!

Sheesh Roe - what do you think this is Myspace with all the quizzes? FYI the ad on the bottom of that post was "Quit Nail Biting Secrets"
Hey, ok,..
favoriet comedy movie? Most anything by Adam Sandler (except Little Nicky). I could sit and watch those over and over again.
favoriet horror movie? ooh. Seven with Brad Pitt...I loved the premise and the ending whoa buddy...
favoriet musical? RENT! A buddy of mine and I camped out at the Barnes and Noble the night that the soundtrack was released, I've seen it live three times (including once on Broadway) and saw the movie four times in the theater and now own the DVD.
favoriet tear jerker movie? Ghost. I know its an old one but it gets me every single time...
favoriet action movie? The X-men Movies (including Wolverine that I got to see on Friday)
favoriet sci-fi movie? The Star Wars Trilogy - the original one not this new garbage...
favoriet true story movie? Probably "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" I read the book in high school because it was by an Iowa author and thought the movie truly did it justice...
favoriet 'old' movie..before 1960? HARVEY! with the great James Stewart Who doesn't love a story about an invisible rabbit?
favoriet mystery movie? dunno on this one - I guess I don't watch a lot of mysteries.
favoriet children/family movie? I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Mary Poppins. I need to bust that out on Jackson.
favoriet animation movie? Disney's Aladdin. I was OBSESSED with that movie when I was in Jr High...my whole room was done up in Aladdin stuff. Still love to watch it with J now!

I LOVE reading these!!!
I know you're an avid reader...can you remember when you started reading for pleasure, and what books do you remember most from teenish years reading?
Are you now, or have you ever been a soap opera watcher? Which ones if so?
