Oh geez...
Ok, when I was about 5, maybe 6 my mom was a single mother, working nights in the ER at University Hospital in Cleveland. She'd come home in the morning and the sitter would leave. One morning she fell asleep before I left for Kindergarten. Well, I was a pretty outgoing little thing and I guess I followed the mail man down the street, gabbin his ear off. When he reached the end of the street, he brought me back, knocked on the door and my mom FREAKED. LOL
Hmm, almost 16... sophomore year...big changes for me that summer, a tornado hit our town that May, I'd just turned 16...my best friend was seriously injured and spent the summer in the hospital. Another bff had her license and drove us to the hospital EVERY day all summer. That was when hospitals really followed visiting hours. Between hours we'd go to the mall and sometimes eat at Friendly's...we were SO broke. One day we barely had enough to pay for our split sandwich and fries (with coins) but didn't want to not leave a tip for the waitress who knew us by then...so we left her McD's gift certificates! One of many little stories from that year of my life! |
I found both of these stories SOOOOOO interesting! Seriously. Good stuff here, Lisa!

As my screen name might indicate, I'm a lifelong Niners fan, for NFL, but being so close to Pittsburgh, I also show love for the Steelers.
NBA is rough for me, I used to be a diehard, I loved the Suns when Charles Barkley played, but kinda stopped watching over the years. In recent years, I've been following LaBron James and the Cavs, another close to home team.
I don't do hockey, tennis, golf or baseball on tv. I'll watch baseball live and enjoy going to the Seawolves games here in my area, they're a triple A team...

I am so NOT athletic!!! Pitiful really. I'm tall and in high school (though I didn't know it then...) was thin and built like an athlete...I played basketball for 7th and 8th grades until I couldn't take it anymore, and threw shot put in track, just so I was in something in the spring from 9-12th grades. I found myself in the Marching Band on the silk line. I did that from 9-12 and LOVED every second. I was even captain 10-12!

Great stuff, Lisa:)
And great questions!
I'm so not good at these, but I love reading them.
Describe your scrap area. Is it a table in the corner of a room or a whole room? Do you snack while you scrap? Do you listen to music or have the tv on while you create? Do you get any scrappy subscriptions?

Surprisingly, not as much as usual...my tv addiction is fading. I am looking forward to Grey's...VERY much, and I'll enjoy another season of SYTYCD...but could live without any of it for the first time in my memory...well...any of it except Grey's...

Gosh...missed this one!! Sorry wendi!
I have a fine collection of dust bunnies!! and scrapbook papers!
Heirlooms...not really...a few things that were my grandmother's from her wedding, so i suppose those are! But I'm not much of a displayer of these kinds of things, so they're wrapped up in a box...:(
