Unmounted Rubber stampsUsing unmounted rubber stamps is AWESOME!! You get the benefits of being able to see through acrylic, with the durability and crispness of rubber.
What kind of unmounted do you have laying around?
I had a ton of SU stamps that I never mounted...you know by the set for one stamp and a few/six months later realize you haven't touched the other 5 stamps...
by the time I went to use the remaining stamps, I had fallen in love with being able to see where I was stamping. So I started playing with my SU stamps that hadn't been mounted yet. I trimmed the rubber just like I normally would, then when it was time to mount the stamp, instead, I peeled the sticky backing, put the clear image sticker right on the foam backing, and trimmed away the extra sticker!! NOW I can use the stamp with my acrylic blocks. sometimes there is enough natural static for them to stick, most times I just put a tiny bit of repositionable tape runner across the block and stick the stamp to it...make sense?
