Scoring helper? and 4 yr olds don't count

at the risk of sounding like a complete dolt....

do you all use any scoring assistance?  I mean some gizmo?  what is it?  or have you seen any others used?

I can't seem to score straight to save my life.  I have the scoring "blade" with my fiskars cutter but it seems to REALLY go deep and almost cut thru my CS.  I'm also thinking for the bax etc for cricut...those are hard to do in that thing.  I also have the stick thing with the ball at the end...that's worse for me to use with a ruler- it's 1/8 in off with the bone folder.  I get the bone folder but it's getting that first crease in straight.

ok I'm beyond help....

I use my cutter, line up where I want to score, then run my stylus down the line a couple of times.  Then take out, fold, and press down with middle section of stylus (you would use your bone folder, which I don't have).  Easy.  Does that help you?

I use my scoring blade in my fiskars, just don't press so hard muscle woman!!

I go pretty lightly and then use my bone folder to finish.

That's what I do too... that way the line is pretty straight if I line it up ok

My glass 12x12 work spot has lines where I can line up my paper and find the center line or where I want to score.  Then I take a ruler and run the bone folder with the end that is a stylus straight down.

If it's just a center fold, I fold the cardstock and match up the ends and use the bone folder to crease...
