scanning a pic....anyone know of a great way to scan a 4x6 pic and enlarge it (through the comp) and NOT loose resolution?
I tried, but i can't get it to be bigger and look 'right'

Good question. Don't know the answer. Scan at highest resolution, enlarge just before it doesn't look so hot? I have scanned tons of old photos and some work great and others don't. I am inclined to think it has to do with how clear/good the pic is in the first place.

Yeah, that's pretty much it for me too. Those old photo just won't come out printed larger so I just try to print around the same size as the original. Then again, unless I needed two photos, I would just use the original.
