Hummmm..good question...I have PSP open because I'm typing a a photo..I just need to wait for Jeff to call me back since I can't remember the name of the beach he took me to.. ..
I'm going to plan around and get back with ya...
Glad you understood my instructions. Those instructions were given by someone who did not have PSP, so I had to figure it out. That is why you see my 'addition' on the botton....Whatever you did, it looks great!!

Ok, I just tried using the wand around two different things..did the 'invert' and then hue/saturation to b/w...it worked...the two things I had the wand around stayed color with everything else b/w....
Oh I did not click the lasso twice, I just finished one area and then went to the next...

Paula, it'll cost ya...one hug from Nathan..bring him over...
Ok, here is what I have...Now, this was done by someone whose program I don't know, but I was able to adjust it to mine (notice bottom portion of instructions)...If I could figure it out...I know anyone can.. ..
1. Bring up picture. Then go to standard edit.
2. Use the zoom tool and click on the item or area you want to remain in color. If you zoom in too close, just right mouse click, and zoom back out.
3. Click on the magnetic lasso tool and draw around the object, going completely around it, and at the end, click on the little dot where you started, and the area will begin to "twinkle" to indicate it's completed.
4. Next go up to the menu, under "Select" choose Inverse. (INVERT)
5. Then, back to the menu and choose "Enhance", then choose adjust color, then remove color. Now everything surrounding the area will be black and white.
Voila, you should be there. You've done it!
***The only thing I had trouble with was #5. I couldn't find "Enhance". What I ended up doing was go to "Image" - "Adjust" - "Hue/Saturation" and with the slide of two buttons I had only one beautiful red rose!
Make sure you make a duplicate first of your photo!!!..Then you can file back the original without having to worry about losing it.
If you have PSP 'invert' in under selections. took me a while to find it. Also, duplicate is under 'windows'
Any questions...please ask!!
