Pricing *Pics Added*

I am making cards to sell to raise money for the Relay for Life this weekend. I having a hard time deciding whether to sell them individually or in sets or both.  I need some help with pricing.  I know you can't see them and it depends on detailing. But in general...

How many cards in a set for how much?
How much for an individual card?

In general I would want 6-8 cards in a pack.  I would think a pack would be a 'bargain' compared to an individual.  I'd GUESS maybe $1.50 for a card, so....$6 for a pack of 6 cards??

Very general, and Just a GUESStimate!

Erin, it seems like I keep coming up with higher prices to sell....Your cards are so pretty and specially made, I would say ate least $2.00 and that would be for girls without too much frill.  Remember, people are buying these knowing they are for Relay for Life.  Make 6 and sell them for $10.00.

So, between Lisa and me, let's see what other prices you get to confuse you more...

From the cheapskate of the bunch ... why not charge less so people will buy more?  Guess you might want to figure out if that will work or not, to get more for your efforts.  And how much you can actually get ready for the sale, too.

On the other hand, if they are really nice, which I know they are, you can get away with more.

I think it should be cheaper than in a store, but enough to honor your talents, and most of all to raise for the cause.

Helpful, huh?

Your replies are helpful! Keep them coming!
I will start posting some pics soon and get more input.
Working on a fun idea for the next set. :)

My friend sells photo cards (she does her own photography) and gets $4.50 a card....so anything less than that is a bargain imho

Here are the cards I have done so far. I have made 9 of the Hope cards and 8 of the Think Pink. Why didn't I start making these cards back in December!?!?! !

Great cards erin!! I love them both!  Did you do a google search for handmade cards and see what they go for?  maybe ebay?

Maybe meet Roe and I in themiddle and go $8 for a pack of six?

I just read my post.....that was suppose to be 'cards' without too much frill...not 'girls'......but I see you have a 'girl' card...how funny!!!

erin, check out www.etsy.com for some prices on cards.
I saw some priced anywhere from $2.50- $5+ for one card.
Also saw sets of 6 for $10.00, set of 9 for $15.00. You may want to give them a look for some pricing ideas.

Off to check ebay and etsy! Thanks!

very cute Erin!!  I don't have any ideas but will be looking at what happens.  I'm making some cards for a fundraiser thing some lilttle girls  (ok 5 and 2 gr) are doing a fundraiser for a liver xplant for a friend from their church and school.  I'm making a few sets of cards for them to sell in the raffle.

I ended up making over 55 cards.  I will post some later if I think to get a picture at the Relay. Right now they are packaged up waiting to go in the car.  Thanks for the input.  I might try to sell them individually and then people can create their own card sets.  Still debating on prices, but I figured I might go for $2 a card and if I need to reduce the price, then I will as the Relay continues. Thanks again for your help!
