Photography interest

Ok all.  I want you to be totally honest.

There has been very little activity in this forum this month.  Is this because you've been too busy, you don't want to do anything in here, you just forgot about it, you don't really care that much, or you meant to do something but just didn't .......or any other reason.

I did not do a second half of the month assignment - mostly because nothing was going on in the first half, including my own activity, tho I have taken quite a lot of photos.  Just did not post here.

So really my question is:  what would you really like to do in regard to photography?  I want to facilitate what you want.

Speak to me.

marlene, for me it's not that I'm not interested, I am...I just haven't had the time to play around.  I was excited to just get some photos this past week end!!

I was telling Joe just the other day that I've been wanting to get out and take photos of the horses and still haven't done it..Only been talking about it for months.

I do enjoy all you have to share and the challenges you post.

I'm Really interested but I think I've only had the camera in my hands once since Mom died...just too many things on my plate. Plus, the weather certainly hasn't been inviting me out to take pics. Sorry we're letting you down. Don't think I'll have time to really play with it till we are in Montana...... :

I love all the hints and challenges, but I get sidetracked.

I forget to do them...

Maybe just do one challenge/hint at a time....that would help me.

Marlene, first off so much for taking this on. I am sure it has been time consuming for you.

To be honest I think the challenges should be once a month and keep them simple. Even though everyone wants to learn their camera that doesn't mean it's a priority for them to do so. I think it's great to learn your camera and try new things on your camera but not everyone has a camera that can do the things that are asked in some challenges. I think the new articles are a great resource.

For me personally, It's hard for me to take part in the challenges because I have been there done that kind of stuff. These were challenges and assignments that I did in college. I don't feel comfortable in diplaying my professional work that I have already done that may apply to a challange because I don't want anyone to think I am trying to show off or anything like that, I am just not sure my place. I would love to partake in the challanges with my own personal photos of my children and family but find that I just can't fit it all in. Please don't mistake any of this, I am by no means stating that I know it all and am too good for the challanges I too am just having a hard time fitting everything in. This isn't the only thread that I am lacking Marlene, promise! I find myself finishing LO's for other challanges but can't find the time to take a picture of it to post. I could go on and on I am sure but I will just stop here and say I think it's a great thread and it challanges us to step outside the lines and create new photos that will look great in our LO's.

Keep up the good work Marlene, I think it's great what this thread offers and I am sorry for not taking on more. Please let me know if I can help in anyway. I hope to see the thread continue. I am sure it's helpful to many, even if it's just a tip.

I fall under would love to, but run out of days or energy before I get to it.  I LOVE having all the info here, for when I have  min to read it, it is just then making the time to follow up that I'm having trouble with.  I thank you VERY much for diggin up and posting the info, truly.  My vote would be, perhaps, maybe give the info when you want/can.  Maybe small scale assignment a month.  Then we could comment on the photos all month, improve upon them, ask questions, get feedback etc...  What do you think?

Ticia, totally see where you're comming from on your end, but please never feel badly sharing your professional work, I for one, would love to see it, and many times I learn more from examples than from text...

I agree, Ticia...love seeing any of your professional work...really, I could spend all day, sitting and looking at good photography.

Thanks to both you gals for your comments. That does make me feel better about participating....

Marlene, I look forward to your decision on this. I hope you decide that it is worth your while. :

Girls, I hear you all well.  I will work on what to do, later this week (and if I don't, nudge me, it's a busy week).  I will simplify, and try to challenge in ways you all can benefit.  And Ticia, you are part of us, and a special addition, and I hope you can feel free to add to my limited knowledge, and show us your stuff when you can to help inspire all of us.  Ok?

Ticia...please please post your work...!!!..It just reminds me of what I can and should be able to do one day..!!..

Not everyone is a natural like Peter, some of us (duh me) have to work at this camera thing....

Thanks Marlene and Roe....

My April is so busy with Easter....have a ton of sessions booked. If you don't see me as often please don't think I have left or anything. Will get some things posted from the sessions as soon as I can.
