My Valentine 2-4-09Well, we better get started on those Valentine cards!!Your challenge today is to make a Valentine card for that special someone. I just turned in my "secret number of the day" to Jenny. You will be given a number in the order in which you upload. For example, if you upload first, you are number 1, second - number 2, yeah you get it. You have until midnight central time for the challenge. Upload your cards in this thread!

Can you please make these challenges a little later? I have to work, then fix dinner and by the time I can even think about scrapping it's already 10:30pm central time.

Katt, That is why I am not doing "first one to complete this challenge wins". I know that everyone has different schedules so I randomly pick a number each day and that layout # wins. I mean, the number might be 10 so that means the later you upload the better. I thought this would give everyone a fair chance. If you have a better idea, I'm all ears:) Trisha |

Well, I'm trying to keep the number low enough that is reachable, but since there are no uploads yet...I don't know!
I guess we will just move on to the next challenge. I am trying to make a challenge daily - if they go into DAILIES...  I might get confused easily. I hope these have been simple enough that everyone feels like they have a fair chance...that is my intention anyway.

Ok, I did one! Not sure that I will use this, but been wanting to do something for my people at church who work with the kids in my area. I missed Christmas, had it all planned, then everything fell apart. So this has been on my mind. Depends if the church will let me print these. Anyway, here is my creation:

oh trisha, i think they've been easy enough. like you said before, not everyone has to participay every day cuz you've got enough little challenges for all of us to participate in a few. plus, feb just started. i like to challenge myself in trying to get your daily challenge done by the end of the day. i win, just by getting it done by midnight. and if i don't i'll finish it eventually. just like the oct and nov challenges that i finished in jan.

Got mine done! Joe did the dishes..( ). I have zillions of papers and yet pink is the hardest for me to match up!. I didn't want the same color pink, but I did want something that went together and match the flower. You should have seen me looking though scraps!!....

Oh, Nichole, now you did the same thing.. ..
The heats were done with Cuddlebug dies. the one die is different sizes of an outline(I think 3) and the smallest being solid. Then the other die is like a two parter (or three). It comes about with the outline with the curly ends with the kinda solid bottom. Thanks for your compliment! |

I guess I just don't get the reason for the deadline then? I mean even if 10 is the lucky number and I will be number 10 I still may not get my layout or card done by the deadline time. KWIM? Not trying to step on any toes, I just want to participate as much as I can and have a chance at something.

If that # happens to not come up during that day, then there won't be a winner that day. My numbers should be low enough to where it won't be an issue as long as 5 or 6 people participate. This is another reason why I will have challenges like "Show me a goofy face" which was the first challenge with a prize. I know not everyone has time to whip out a layout and I will make sure everyone DOES have a fair chance at winning something. :

After reading the question of deadlines vs. winning #'s let me just ask this...
I think the confusion is why midnight central? If it is by number, and Jenny announced the winning pre chosen number the morning after, couldn't Katt (or anyone) post up until midnight their own time? I'm truly NOT trying to make this more difficult, and I'm sure we ALL appreciate what you're doing and that it is alot to keep track of, if it goes past a day's timeline. Just thought maybe you weren't understanding each other's thoughts kind of deal...ok... that's all I've got...hope I didn't step on any toes...
