May Photo Challenge

Rule of Thirds.  This is simple, but often we forget about it.  How you frame a photo does matter.  Don't say to yourself, aw, I'll just crop it later.  that may not work out, and it makes you lazy.  Try to take a good shot to begin with, if possible.

Here is a very short article I found on the Rule of Thirds.  It's pretty easy to grasp.  Give it a try, ok?

I will find an example of my own here shortly (I hope!!!)

Here is one:

Balance of focal point to the right, isn't she cute?

And another:

I think this shows, though a busy photo, the weight of it is in the upper left to the truck in the center.

I will look for more.

I think this one qualifies for in here.

If you look at his face, it is on the left 1/3 of the pic.

shoot - I keep getting red x pics.  I'll come back .........

Got it this time, Katt. Yes I would think this qualifies.  In fact, it's effective in that it's got a diagonal line that draws your eye from top to bottom (or bottom to top) diagonally, a pleasing effect.  Well done, darlin'!

Love all these examples!

Nice, Lisa!  I really like that one!  You know the only thing I might do differently (hear me clearly, it's great as is), is do a vertical, still with him slightly off to the side.  Just a thought!

Thanks, everyone, for giving this a try!
