Marlene's Digi Challenge #1 - Altered Photo

Take a photo, any photo, and change it to make it "artsy".  Interpret how you like!

Then make a LO with that photo.  You could do paper, and you could do digi.  Just alter the photo!

Put your results in this thread.

ummm...

i went to dh's laptop..opened the pic up in *adobe photoshop elements*
clicked on *filter* then *stylize*  then *solarize*
that's how i got the color in the background

then i emailed it to my comp...
opened the pic up in *picture it premium 9* program
added the other two pics. *softened* them
placed them where i wanted

and whalaa! done
serene scrapper

Well, that's an interesting way to go about it, Mel!  I am going to try that on something ....  but at least I have what I need only on one computer!
scrapnkitty

Amazing pic Mel!  Love the lo too!
Punkin

Oh my gosh Mel... WOW!!! Beautiful!

I was fiddlin with pictures today and went back to the lesson that Sharon taught us a while back about altering a b/w photo to give something color in it.
I need ink so i can scrap it now!!!

Here's my interpretation...not really artsy, but something different for me.

~ melodyz ~

Love it, Lynn..what a great photo to work with!!..

Here is my take on the challenge..I sat here and played with PSP and Ulead Photo Express. Outside frame is from one of Sharon's kits.

Oh I love how heavens rays are shinning down on your little angel..or fairy since that is the 'in' thing right now....

Mel, that is so cool!!..I commented in the gallery!!! and love seeing it again!!!
serene scrapper

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That's pretty awesome, Lynn!
vellumx

Marlene, I think this counts.....I sure altered it....

This is the tree before I altered it.

And you can see Nina was altered too...

serene scrapper

Roe, I commented on this somewhere .... pretty amazing!  WTG!
serene scrapper

Here is my attempt on this.  The bg photos are altered by choosing the "find outline" option in my effects section.  Adding some brushing, pretty easy, mostly.  Not complex like what Roe did!

These are our new neighbors across the way - really sweet!
vellumx

what a cute photo and love that technique!!..Yep, that is artistic!!  It may have been easy (to you) but it worked...

Actually, my altering really wasn't hard; nothing tricky.  It just may look like it was more to it than what it was...hey, that's a good thing....
