Ideas & Wants 4a new SB! The Naked Binder! **Update**

Okay - So last week when I posted about that naked binder and sitting in that focus group?
Well, they are VERY interested in heading down that path....

So - please help me help them by posting here your ideas on how they can make the binder into a great and popular scrapbook! Kind of a mini focus group here....

Thanks!

Oh - and go to town on this! don't hold back!

What do you like/dislike about the books you have (If you do 3 ring)
What would you like to see?
What can they add to make this even better (with staying "green")

Thanks again!!

After my first several strap books, I went to 3 ring.  I love the 3 ring!..I don't alway take the time to 'decorate' the front of the albums, but it would be nice to have a blank canvas to do up when needed.  8x8 would be a popular size.

For me too, the price would have to be right.  I don't buy just because an album 'has a name'.  It would have to be sturdy enough to hold up to the extra depth of layouts I do.

I adore my three rings!  They are SO easy to rearrange and use.  If they could figure out someway for them to fold flat so you could look at a 2 page layout without the gap that would be WAY awesome but I have no idea how you would even go about that.  Definite selling point there though.

If they did the 8x8/9x9 with slide in refills for extra 4x6 photos or journaling that would be cool.  The only ones who do that are AC and WRMK and they are 8 1/2 x 11

In looking at their website, I love the way the wrapped binder spine has a slip in for the title instead of a full bookplate.  I think I would be more inclined to actually label my albums if I didn't have to mess with the bookplate.

LOVE the debossed numbers on the tabs that they have - I could totally see those painted or inked over and lookin' CUTE

They would need to make sure they fit a basic page protector or produce their own.  I used to use 12 x 12 3 ring binders, but the store that had them quit carrying them.  I love that they are so easy to rearrange the pages and it wouldn't bother me that they have the space in the middle, despite the fact that I do almost exclusively 2 page LO's.  The looser pages are flexible enough to sort of hold together in the middle to view the whole 2 pager connected if you like.  I still want 12x12....I rarely do a small book.  I like the blank front aspect....I can see some Mod Podge and pretty papers decking them out.  Or even cloth.  And they even look OK just plain.  Scrapbook pages can get heavy, the rings and spine must be really strong.

So I just got off the phone with the guy - super nice! Really interested in the binder...
We're going to meet in the next couple of weeks to go over the scrap book world.... going to show off my book (or two...) ...

What do you think about me taking him to Archivers? or one of my LSS? The LSS may be better so he can put the binder in their stores? Hmmm....

I just read through all of this and I couldn't think of anything to add to what has already been said. I am a 3 ring binder girl and I love all different sizes.

I think it's a super idea to show him your current albums and take him to a scrap store - either one.

It would be nice if he has it so we can order on line.  I spent hours the other day trying to find an 8 x8 3 ring binder.  I found one at one of the office stores, but no mention of the protective sleeves.

Yes, I do think there would be a demand for this!!
