I found some brushes I liked and saved them in a file. when I opened PSE, I used the dropdown then clicked the arrow to find the folder for the bushes I saved. I then clicked on 'load brushes', found them and hit ok.
Now, the question is, why can't I find them in the dropdown for brushes? Am I seeing it, but dont' know I'm seeing it?
Any help would be appreciated...
Oh, is it possible I didn't save them with the right file type? I did save(open) with winzip...

I know nothing about brushes, Roe, so am of no help. Obviously, Marlene is away from her puter so this site is where she went when she had a lot of questions. The ladies are very nice and helpful...you may find your answer in a question that has already been asked...so check it out and see if you can find some help.
Thanks, Lynn...I was hoping you would come to my rescue....I tried checking posts here, but couldn't find anything. Of course, that doesn't mean it's not here, but.....
I'll check out the link....
Just to let you know, I found sme free brushes that were swirls. Thought I would save them and though I followed instructions I found about saving bruishes, it didn't work.
Ok, off to check out your link..

ok, I found another site where it was telling me pretty much the same thing I had already done. So, I went back to the dropdown, used the arrow and did load again. when the file came up, I doubleclicked (don't ask me why..something said to do it..) and the next thing I know, the brushes are showing. Now from what I did read, I can save the brushes I just loaded, or as the post said, just open it when you need it.
Now, I got that working and can play around with it..
I've been playing around and wow, I just learned a bunch about PSE....Well, they say keeping the mind active is good....

Lynn, me again..
Now, I know you can answer this one for me..I'm playing around with layers and thought I would open one of my digital files. Normally in PSP, I can do a drag/copy/paste...Why am I having a problem in PSE?
I open a white canvas. then I open the digital file and drag what I want to the canvas page, but instead, it does not open no on the canvas, but on a transparency background(you know the little checked look). anyway, there is no where that I can find to do a copy/paste..
Ok, are you following me so far?.....any suggestions? I tried using 'help', but that is not helping.

heading to bed right now..brain is tired....

For one thing...you need to click on "new" to set up the page...and I always start with the transparent (checkered page). then, I think, you can start dragging things...didn't you say this was Photoshop Elements 3? I'm not at all familiar with that and 6 is quite different from the other, I guess.
I'm afraid I'm still not much help...as I said, learning Elements6 is one of my winter projects, as yet unattempted.
