As everyone, watching my budget like a hawk. But I really wanted to put some photos in the one corner of my dining room, Peter's photos. So got a bunch from ArtsCow, which weren't bad, though I thought they were a bit dark, btw. Then the other day I was at WM getting poster frames for something at church. Well, as I looked around, I spotted these 12x16 $4 frames. Hmmmm. Great price, good size for a few 4x6 pix.
I picked up four of them. I was thinking I would use some sb paper to back them, arrange somehow - wasn't totally sure what I would do.
Well ... I opened one up, pulled off the glass (they are front opening), saw a black back piece. Then it clicked. Paint the edges of this to make it a border/matt effect. Stick down the pics, and I'm done.
See for yourself: (all for $16 and some paint)

Good job Marlene!!..
Joey had (has) a lot of posters that he gets at the different conventions he goes to and when checking on framing, it's way too much money..They wanted something like $250.00 for one and that was with a coupon!..This was a Michaels. I told him I would pick the closest size and fix it for him. Ype, I had some awesome 12x12 papers that I had picked up at a convention that worked perfectly!!..and the frames used were maybe 10.00 each.....
