First off... Tell us about your camera!!!Sign in here, please! Ok, really, you don't have to sign up, any and all are welcome anytime you want. But let's start this way:
What camera are you using? Second, how well do you know the features of your camera, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being very well, 1 being you just point and shoot and hope for the best. Or somewhere between. And third, how often do you use your camera, daily, maybe three times in a week, or about once a week or less?
That should get us started.

I have a very new Nikon DSLR D60.
On a scale of 1-10, I'd say about a 3. But working on it continuously.
I take pictures at least 5 days out 7, unless life is way too busy, then maybe 3 days. Don't take tons on those days, but try to take a few minutes and practice. If out somewhere new, I really hit it.

I have the Nikon SLR D40 with an extra lens 55x200 VR
My scale would be maybe a 4...maybe.. ..
I use my camera for all my posting shots which could be 5 out of 7 days (on a good week).
Not seeing the grandkids much limits my camera experiment time.

Lately lucky if it gets used once a week...

Olympus C-720
I don't know the features very well so I will say a 4
I go in spurts. Sometimes I will have the camera with me all the time, and then other times I want to just enjoy the moment. I would say I take about 100-150 photos a month.

Nikon D90 with various lenses. I would say a 9. I use it daily but that is just because it's my profession.

Ticia, Peter just got the D90 last Friday. Are you happy with yours? (he sold his 80 to a friend so he could get this).

My older camera is a Kodak Easyshare Z740 5MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom. It is bulky so I usually just take it on trips or if I need my zoom.
I also have a Canon PowerShot SD1100IS 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical zoom. I love this tiny thing!!!! I keep it in my purse so I always have a camera.
Both have manual settings so I am looking forward to testing them out.
I would give myself about a 7 on the skill scale.

I love love love it! Eventually it will be used as my backup and I will upgrade but for now it's is perfect for me.....
You know gals, for the longest time I used a D40 (which is the base model DSLR) as my main camera in my business and it took wonderful shots so it's not always about the camera, I think you can practice enough with just about any camera and get a result that is pleasing!

Well my darling...I will definately participate in this great thread that Marlene has started up...It has already been said in other posts but the first thing you need to do is play around with your camera. I will put my two cents in and help out along the way of course. Also, please feel free to ask any questions. Asking questions and getting hands on with your camera are the bests ways to learn it!
