Extra embossing powder on projectsJust read a cool idea and this happens to me all the time. When embossing, I always end up with extra powder that doesn't get "shaken" or "wiped" off before using the heating tool. This results in having embossed powder where I don't really want it. Usually I am embossing on ink or something else that is either sticky or needs to be fully dried and I am impatient. ! So, use a dryer sheet to wipe your surface clean before stamping your image and embossing. You could also use the sheet to clean up any areas before using the heat gun. Just thought I'd share since this happens to me. Wish I thought of that before!

Guess I should have known this before I bought static powder at Stampfest.. ...It would have been cheaper!!.. ..
Now, to go with my Aqua Net, I need dryer sheets!!..I don't use them...but..I will now for my stamping!!
Thanks Erin!!!
Just wait until I tell my husband the money I spend for non scrap items that are 'scrap related'...

Yup...I think we had this tip in the old stamping forum on 'that other board'!
Still need to be careful though. When I did my Christmas cards, sometimes it worked and sometimes not.

Good to know, Lisa...
I know the guy that was demonstrating the embossing powder used the static powder, but still used a little paint brush to brush away those stubborn pieces...
