Dash through your Stash *1/10/09 - 3/07/09*Alright - after taking the temperature on the other board here is my proposal for a DTYS Challenge.The goal is to make as many layouts using your current stash as possible in the next 8 weeks. This is NOT a no spend challenge (after all - what is the point of clearing out the old without bringing in some new...) but it should serve as inspiration to start thinning out a little bit... We are on the honor system about the "stash" part so I'm not going to be crawling in any windows to make sure its not new stuff... 
The top three players with the most completed layouts gets some RAK from me. - keep your tally in this thread! Ready... Set... Dash! |

OK Krissy, I noticed the date said 1-10-09 as the start date. So I f I picked up SALE items while at M's today does this count???? You did say its not a no spend challenge. Just the majority of our layouts should be stash, right?
I went in for my page protectors and just couldn't pass up cheap chipboard letters  So I am still in cuz I won't be going back till the challenge is over. :thumbup:

You got it - use up your stash as much as possible but you can make purchases as you go along if its a pressing need...(aren't they all???)
But yes, the challenge officially starts on the 10th. |

Ok, let me get this straight. It's not a no spend, right? Just use up old stuff.
So is this to be interpreted - you can buy new stuff but that stuff used on a LO will keep that LO from qualifying. But any LO using only old stuff (purchased before the start of the challange, I assume), counts? That's how I understand it. Also, if the date is the 10th, then the two above LO's don't count. (sorry girls! Please don't throw eyelets at me, please?) |

Yeah, still can't do it. I can't even get to my room right now so IF I DO get to EVER scrap, I will have to just use the new stuff I bought Monday - which wouldn't be too hard on me since I got my new BG Bittersweet kit and the new Prudence kit by Crate Paper:)
How about cards? I just made Brooklyn's birthday invitations yesterday with all old stuff. I could reach that shelf - but I think I pulled my arm out of socket.

Wow didn't mean for it to be this confusing - but that's why I made the date the 10th so that we could get it all worked out by then.
Official rules: 1. Use your stash 2. You can purchase new stuff but LO's made with new stuff do not count. 3. Keep your count here and the winner will get a **way cool ** RAK. For the three of you who jumped right in - first of all YAY! And those layouts will count as tie breakers if it comes to that. I'm ready to SCRAP this weekend and burn through some serious stash! |
