cuttlebug users....b plate

does this plate get a curve or curl in it?  I have only used my plates maybe a dozen or so times since I've gotten it.  The "b" plate has developed a bit of a curve or bow on it.  I've tried running it thru different way to "even" it out but hasn't help much.

What got me thinking about it was viewing Betty's video where heres looked used but it was flat looking.  I will say I've used mine mostly for embossing plates if that makes any difference.

for any feedback.

Karen, I have the big shot that uses two plastic plates and the one thick white plate.  Yes, the thinner clear plastics will 'warp'.  If you are using small cuts, try moving it in different spots.  What I do, and it still works, is when I sandwich it I make sure the 'hump' is on the outter side of the paper, like facing outward.  I figured this would give the pressure somehing to press on more so than if it were indented.

Also, since I bought the nestabilities, I bought extra sets.  This allows me to keep the used ones for my everyday cutting and then I have my plates and shims reading for the nestabilities and then another set ready with the rubber and shims.  It took me a while to come up with the right amount of shim for my machine and it makes it easier to go from one step to the next.

Did I answer your question?.....

Just use those coupons and buy plates when you can.  I actually have one that I use for those huge Prima swirl stamps I bought.  I didn't have anything else that was a big enough plastic and thought I would try using a plastic plate..yep, it works....

Roe-  for all the words I know I couldn't think of warped... sigh.   and yes I try to vary the position of the things.  I guess I will break out the 2 q's that came in Sunday's paper and get some more plates.

esp now since I want to try next besties...she's going to have to patent that.  :)

warp came to my mind because I couldn't think of any other word ...except maybe bent... But, we know what we are talking about....

my badly warped one broke right in half.  So I picked up another set and have yet another set still in the packaging.  They will "wear out".  Wonder if I can get my husband to somehow "saw" the broken pieces into strategically sized shims.

What a good idea, Robin!..
