Cuttlebug or SYI?I have a group buy for provocraft..my budget can only stretch for about $50...enough for the product and shipping. I'm thinking the cuttle at w/s would be about 40-45? the regular carts are 45 so either would work....

go for the cuttlebug...honest.....
you will not be sorry...though I love SYI and it's fun to have, you can use the cuttlebug for those cards you make now...
and, don't you have an embossing folder for the cuttlebug...(or you will)....

I love my Cuttlebug too. It can cut using almost any dies on the market.

Lynn- Cuttlebug is a press type machine for using diecuts and embossing. It's like a quickutz or sizziz. I'd use it for the embossing since i have the cricut.

I voted for the cart with the thought that we'll soon be able to emboss with cricut...

but.....with the cuttlebug, you can also cut felt, material, acrylis..etc...Yes, I know, Cricut is going to have the extended blade, but those embossing folders are really cool...and..they aren't expensive. Some are 4 in a pack!...
Even though I have a Cricut, I would still need (want and need) the cuttlebug!! I have the big shot..same difference.. ..

Karen, here's a suggestion...
bring your paper and a mat...you can cut all the cards you want and keep them in a box...then..when you are ready to use them, you can emboss whatever you want with you cuttlebug...

LOL, you don't have to convince me...I'd LOVE a cuttle bug, I have a sizzix, but that darn thing is so big and bulky...never used it. Well once or twice...shame really. Got it the same time as my cricut and it lost the battle...

Lisa, I know it seems redundant, but if you know someone who could use the sizzix (or sell it), you would love how the cuttlebug has a bigger cutting (embossing) area.
I got the big shot for that reason. After I got it, then I started hearing about the cuttlebug. I'm happy with what I have because it takes all the same size as the cuttlebug, but if something every happened to the big shot, I would do the cuttlebug.... ..

Thanks everyone (it's a draw anyway).... after some serious thinking and looking at my budget- I'm going to have to wait. I suspect at worse they will wait until the Mike's exclusive are opened up and order again then in October or so. I can wait till then. I've done with out it just fine. :)
my budget is being SUCKED dry with this prima buy.... I think they'll call me a big butt (_____)_____) for the $ I spent. and that's a good thing.
