confused with printing picturesI'm using Photoshop Elements 6.0
I'm wanting to print 2x2 photos. I have used the crop tool to make my 2x2 by 200dpi photo. It says in image size that it is 2 inch by 2 inch, but when it comes out of my printer it is 2 1/4 by 2 1/4. I also have one that is supposed to be 2 by 2.5 and it came out 2 1/8 by 2 3/4.
Why is my printer adding size to my photos? help.

I have no idea why, Kari. I just tried a 2" square and it measured perfect after printing - and I have the same program. I am sure I dont have the same printer, however, as I used a laser one we use for only b/w stuff. Wish I could help. :sad

Every so often that happens to me too Kari.
I started using "WORD" to print specific sizes. I use the ruler on the document tool bar and no more guessing!

If i need to print odd sizes, i use PUBLISHER or POWER POINT. Those seem to work best for me. I use, INSERT, PICTURE, FROM FILE and choose the pic. then i size it according to the top and side rulers. sometimes i just get fed up with my photo program all together.

If you have the whole MS office suite you should have Microsoft Picture It...i use that alot...
for your program, just a guess make sure you have the borderless option clicked?

.
I have borderless option checked.
I don't have MS Office on this computer. I have it on my old one that isn't hooked up. We just couldn't see spending the money to get it yet.
