August Card Kit ChallengeAnyone up for a card kit challenge? whoot whoot
Here's the deal:
*I will send you all the materials you will need to make a card. yeah! :thumbup:
*You may alter these items - cut, punch, paint, ink, etc. all you want, but you will need to include all the items sent to you on a card.
*I will take sign ups until 7/26 and will send out the card kits ASAP so you will have the entire month to work on them. I do ask that you make an honest effort to create a card and post it in this thread sometime in August. Due 8/31.
*Please sign up in this thread. I believe I have most of your addresses, but if you aren't sure, go ahead and pop me a PM.

I think adding a little would probably be ok. Maybe we can agree to add 1 non-kit item? Thanks for bringing it up for discussion. Hadn't thought about that.

I will be leaving for my Scrapper's Dream Vacation on the 29th and want to make sure I have it before then.
And I need to find the list I wrote of all the challenges. No idea where that sucker got to.

Erin - I got my kit today. Thanks. I have it packed and ready to go to SDV. I won't post a pic until I get back, that way everyone should have their kits by then. Or I can even wait until later in the month to post it.

Many of the kits went out yesterday (except Cheryl's which I sent out a day earlier). They should be arriving soon!

I am glad to hear these are arriving! Once everyone has the kit, I will post a pic of the kit for those who didn't do the challenge. Just so they can see how it started. :)
Also, Rita had a fantastic idea. If you would like to donate your finished card to the Cards for Heroes that would be marvelous. You can send it with your batch or you can send it back to me and I will put it in with my box. Great idea, Rita!

Here's mine. I didn't really like the paisley paper, so I used a small circle punch to punch out the little flowers! Can you see the stickles?

finished mine up tonight! THANKS NATHAN!
I punched out 2" squares/circles; inked the square edges with a soft green; inked the square edges w/a brown; adhered cardstock to the center circle; attached happy bday rubon; inked all the way around the card; inked the center edge of polka dotted paper; tied ribbon on w/o adhesive, punched brad through center of flower and opened backing; attached flower to card w/glue dot.

I was doing this kind of challenge every few months, but if you girls enjoy this kind of challenge, we may be able to add it more!

I managed to get mine done this weekend at the SWARM. I lost the brad and the rub-on gave me a problem..  Looks like the photo posted in the gallery is peachy color, so I retook the photo outside.
