August Card Challenge *RAK* CLOSEDOk, ladies...this is going to be very easy...I made a sketch and all you have to do is make a card that looks 'kinda' like the sketch.
You have all month to do this. Once again, you can make as many as you like, but your name will only be in the drawing once. So, let's see what you do with ths sketch!!!

You did an awesme job!!...thank you for taking the challenge...I'm going in my scraproom and making a card....!!! I have a fiskars circle punch and don't use it as much as I should. your card reminded me to get it out of the drawer and use it..!!..
I love how you display your cards for photos...I really should do that.. :thumbup:

here is my take on my own sketch..I wanted to use my circle fiskars punch...Now I know why I don't use it more often.....Not sure where I was going with this, but....

THose are lovely ladies...here's my take on it. These are kind of masculine I think. I made 2 exactly the same. Just as easy to make 2 at a time.

Oh Robin!!!..I love it!! and you followed the sketch almost to the 't'!!!..Awesome colors and I love that clip on there!!..I need to remember that placement...

This is a very versatile card sketch. I made 2 more cards like this last night.
And BTW, my Michaels had these rub ons marked down to 39 cents a pkg. with 4 different butterflies in them...all pretty pastels and glittery. The plaid is vellum, just doesn't photograph well.

the boo was free-hand, beleive it or not! jsut a little squiggle when writing it.
and no roe, i won't argue, i won't win! you are the  of arguing....
but thank you for the compliment. much appreciated. i'm not a good card maker. i've not had much experience, but it's fun!

alright...attempt #2
used all scraps for this one too. had a flower brad from a rak, thought it was perfect. wrapped fiber around the inside of card to hide the back of the brads.

i think the card making kinda keeps me in the scrapping mood without having to create an entire 12x12 page. i think this helps to do something diff every now and then. :thumbup:

Paula, you hit on the 'secret' that I try to get across. Cards are little mini layouts!!..
Also, doing the ATC is another way of creating something without it having to be a layout page. Maybe you will give the ATC a try sometime!!!
