A friend of mine got me interested in it and I just picked up a few supplies here & there and started and it grew from there. That was about 7 or 8 years ago.
I have done the majority of my albums in the past 4 years though, at first I didn't scap regularly.

We always travel to have TG with our family in Oklahoma. My husband's mother is still living and I expect we will always go there as long as she's able to have us.
My parents are deceased but I spend most of my time with my sister and her family, we are very close. I love TG and always look forward to going 'home' to be with family. Some years our children travel there to be with us and other years they spend with their spouses family.

I like to read mostly fiction. Some of my favorite authors are Beverly Lewis - I LOVE to read about the Amish, Elizabeth Berg and Lisa Samson are also favorites - alot of their stories are about the lives of women.
Yes, I LOVE to bake, I am famous in town for my brownies (and they aren't even from scratch! BUT I have a secret ingredient)
And YES - I'm a firm believer of dessert first!!!

I knew someone was going to ask about those brownies!
Take a BETTY CROCKER Fudge brownie mix and mix according to the directions and then add (secret ingredient) MINI chocolate chips. If you make the small size then add 1/4 cup and if you make the large size then add 1/2 cup but they have to be the MINI's, I've tried the regular ones and it's not the same, I do not know why. Just cook them according to the directions, don't overcook and they will be very chewy & fudgelike.
High school was o.k., I never did like schoolwork much, I did enjoy the social aspect though. I had many friends and I was editor of the year book in my SR. year. I also got married at the end of my SR. year.
I enjoyed Speech class because we performed a play both years I was in that class. Driver's Ed was fun too. I liked the more interactive classes.

My favorite flower is the sunflower and I'm not much of a gardener, no green thumb here and since we live in a dessert it's hard to grow anything anyway so I guess that's good for me.

We always travel (500 miles) to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving to be with family and we usually stay home for Christmas and our daughter has always come home because she lives so close but our son and his family do not get to come every year. We did travel to our son's the year his wife was expecting their first child - due on Christmas Eve and then another year we went to our son's after having Christmas here with DD.
It gets more complicated as our family grows, especially since DH is still working. Last year we Skyped with our son & family and that was nice since they went to her parents for Christmas.
We stay home for Easter.

Elaine, what are some TV shows that you enjoy?
|
ScrapNeNe

I don't watch alot of t.v. but my favorite shows are Grey's Anatomy & LOST. I like most anything on Food Network and HGTV.
I'm more of a movie watcher.
I think the main reason I'm not a t.v. watcher is my DH hogs it up most of the time so I read or do computer while he's watching stuff I don't like.

I don't think I've had these questions yet Trisha dear - if I have I've forgotten.
I mainly listen to contemporary Christian music BUT I do like soft rock and Stevie Nicks is my all time favorite!
I do not play any musical instruments and never have. I wanted to learn piano but never did. My sister plays piano and one of my brothers plays guitar & dobro (probabaly spelled that wrong), he's even in a band and has made some CD's. But you didn't ask about my siblings did you? Sorry.
My favorite dessert is some kind of warm gooey chocolate (cake or brownies), topped with vanilla ice cream.

That's kind of a hard choice for me because I love to soak in a hot tub sometimes, especially if I'm really tired or not feeling well but I think I'm gonna have to say the shower because I wash my hair in the shower and a shower is very refreshing, it wakes me up and gets me going.

Here are some of my favorite LO's as requested by Erin.
This one is really simple but I love the photos, my son is officiating at his sister's wedding.
This is probably my most favorite LO, I just think it's so pretty and the photos are precious.
I like the design of this one.
This is my grandson - I think I love the photos the most - who doesn't love a sleeping baby?
These photos are of my parents as newlyweds. My very first LO's were heritage and I still love doing heritage LO's.
Hope I didn't get carried away here. I know I didn't comment on each one but I think some of them just speak for themselves.

No, it was suppose to be the first weekend in November but I wasn't feeling well and the friend that I was going to ride with couldn't go either.
Hopefully we'll get to come soon though. The husband of our friend we were going to visit is a hunter so there's a chance we might get to come in January, I'll let you know if we do.

Also love Lime Verbena from Bath & Body works.

See I just can't do only one. Sorry!

I used to decorate alot - I have comforters/shams for the beds, decorate the mantel, sometimes a tree in living room & den, door wreaths, I have snowmen figurines I'd set all around and lots of other things - most every room in the house got something and also I have a large collection of gingerbread things for my kitchen including curtains I made. BUT now that I have these health issues I have toned down alot the past couple of years. This year I probably will only do a tree in the den, maybe put out my nativity set and a wreath on the front door. I'm just not able/don't feel like doing all the work. I miss it and hopefully someday will be feeling able to do it again.

O.K. - I know what it was. Now y'all can't think I'm totally weird or morbid because of this because my kids already think that! I know this is very strange but remember I am the kind of person who likes to have all her ducks in a row - super organized, planned ahead, etc. SO - a few years ago I bought our headstone and had it set at our plot. Here's a photo my kids took this summer when we were visiting my parents graves. I know it really is pretty STRANGE! This may be getting to know me better than you wanted to!
Oh and my sister actually scrapbooked a LO of this photo of DH & I!
