A question about embossing with my Cuttlebug - is there a way I can emboss the front of a card by putting the whole card in the folder without it coming all the way through the card? I hope that makes sense.
So far all I've done is use one sheet of CS cut to the size of the card and then I adhere it to the front but I'd like to be able to just stick the card in the folder and emboss but when I tried it it went all the way through.
I hope this isn't a dumb question. LOL!

Elaine, just keep your card open. Since the cuttlebug is 6in wide, the 'front' of you card can be up to that size. Slide the front of your card between the embossing folder making sure you have it embossed in the direction you want.
Sometimes, it doesn't work if the design is longways and you wanted your card to open flap up. Actually, for me it's not a big deal because I'll just change the direction I want my card to open....

yup, keep it open, that's what i was gonna say.
you could also put the front of the card in the embossing folder and fold the rest of the card behind it. This may leave a little on the left side of the card that isn't embossed, but you could always add a peaper strip or ribbon. - that's if you want the design to go a certain way.
i've done it before while playing around and it works pretty well.

Paula, you are right about the adding stuff!..
I've done that too where you are missing about 1 1/2 inch or so on the side when doing a flap open card. As like Paula said, you can cardstock, paper or if you are good, do the emboss to finish up the side. Lately, I've been in a quanity mode so I didn't take time to do anything to add time....
