I challenge you to complete this challenge! The full link is below and is full of info about Cards for Heroes. We do so many challenges here and I would love to do something to honor our heroes.
The jist is this:
1. Make 25 blank cards, any theme, for heroes to write home on!
2. Make a birthday card and SIGN IT with a birthday greeting and short note, AND use one of your cards and write an Any Hero note in it!
The reward is really helping out the soldiers, but I am offering a NICE BIG PRIZE ($25 gift card to Scrapbooks.com!) to those who complete the challenge and send in their cards. Once you have done that, post in this thread and your name will go in a drawing.
You have most of the summer to complete the challenge - June, July and August. Due August 31st. 3 whole months!
I will post card tips suggested from Cards for Heroes and interesting tidbits from the site as we go through the summer.

Let's mail directly to them. See the site link below or read below for info on the envelopes. Also see the link before and look to the left for mailing addresses.
For more details, please see: http://cardsforheroes.org/ship/
From Cards for Heroes:
"Are there packing instructions I should follow?"
We'll receive your cards in any way you are able to pack them, but there are a few things that would help if you're willing and able:
Pack your cards securely. Our shippers do check each card to make sure nothing has fallen off or needs repair, but the more we can help the PO deliver cards safely, the better.
Remove any plastic sleeves; we don't send those over so as not to generate trash for our service members to have to deal with.
Sort by type if you'd like (holiday, thank you, birthday, love, missing you, etc). It's not necessary but it can be a help!
If you're able, stamp the backs of your cards with our web address (some folks use labels or handwrite our URL on them). You can order an acrylic stamp made by Imagine Stamps, or use another company you'd like to use. Email info@cardsforheroes.org for a black-and-white logo you can have a stamp made from, or you can use text and not the logo.
Send envelopes for any card that is not an A-2, unless you email the shipper to ask if they have the right size to match with your cards. Most of the shippers have a random selection of other sizes, so you might not have to send any for oddsized cards. (We rarely have square envelopes, so please try to include envelopes for those.)
Include a packing slip (download it using the link at left) or write your contact info on a piece of paper inside the package.
